The Step Up Speakers Bureau offers Hawai'i schools speakers from higher education, business, and community organizations.

Types of Speakers:

1. College and Career Exploration Speakers

Speakers seek to expose students to different career paths, industries, college requirements and opportunities
as well as emphasize the importance of a rigorous high school curriculum in preparing for post-high success.

2. Get A L.I.F.E. Presentation - Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Hawai‘i

This workshop educates students about the skills needed to effectively apply for a job. Workshop curriculum walks students through job search strategies, resume building, interviewing skills, and other important information related to finding a job.

3. University of Hawai‘i Faculty Ambassador Program (Download Flyer)

 Ambassadors help students envision themselves in college. Faculty members utilize their research and
experiences to provide students with information about academics and how it is applied in the "real world". Staff members can provide an overview of educational requirements, career avenues, and the application processes
to get into college.

Step Up speakers serve as important role models to help students understand "real-life"; they broaden students' understanding of the worlds of work and of college, inform students about what it takes to be successful, and encourage students to make the choices that will help them successfully prepare for their futures.

Fill out an online request form here. Requests must be made at least 2 weeks in advance and will be filled based on speaker availability.

Types of Speaking Engagements Available:

Classroom presentations, workshop speakers, assemblies, speaking panels, career and college fairs, and other.
