| Speakers Bureau |
The Step Up Speakers Bureau offers Hawai'i schools speakers from higher education, business, and community organizations. There are two different types of speakers:
1. Project Step Up Ambassadors - speak directly with students about the importance of the BOE Step Up Diploma and of taking the "Step Up" pledge.
2. Career and College Exploration Speakers - seek to expose students to different career paths, industries, college requirements and opportunities as well as emphasize the importance of a rigorous high school curriculum in preparing for post-high success.
Step Up speakers serve as important role models to help students understand "real-life"; they broaden students' understanding of the worlds of work and of college, inform students about what it takes to be successful, and encourage students to make the choices that will help them successfully prepare for their futures.
